HNBA’s Familia Focus features a different member in each issue of E-Noticias, highlighting their accomplishments in the legal and Latinx communities, and how they have benefited from being members of our HNBA family. The Familia Focus segment offers an opportunity for members to share their story with colleagues, inspire current and future legal professionals, encourage member engagement and volunteering, and raise awareness of both the profession the critical work that HNBA/VIA do for our members and communities.

With input from National Office team members, contacted active HNBA members and leaders to feature as part of the Familia Focus segment. Developed a questionnaire based on their background, membership experience, activities and impact that HNBA has had on their career. Created feature logo and website.

Created www.hnba.com/coronavirus, a comprehensive website for HNBA members, HNBA VIA and the public to disseminate information regarding the national coronavirus pandemic. Designed logo for website and gathered links and information to feature and update on an as-needed basis. Resources include public health and government updates, continuing education and webinars, articles on family support and work-life balance, funding and volunteer opportunities,

The HNBA/VIA Coronavirus Resource Site was prominently featured in E-Noticias newsletters and e-blast communications, and content was provided by HNBA members and partners.

Created website and promoted webinars led by HNBA member, past Law Student Division President and current Litigation & Dispute Resolution Section Co-Chair Veronica Canton. The "Aprende en Casa" webinar series consisted of one-hour sessions that tackled timely issues and encouraged discussion among lawyers and students on adapting to working, learning and connecting virtually.

As part of their commitment to serving members and partners during this challenging time, HNBA/VIA created this webinar series focused on practical solutions involving technology and tools for networking and business continuity to manage the virus’s impact. Created website and managed e-blast communication and logistics for the HNBA/VIA Webinar: Deconstructing DACA. This webinar took place on June 9, 2020, and examined the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and the obligation of corporations to actively advocate on social issues.

As this session was originally a panel to be held during the HNBA/VIA Corporate Counsel Conference in March 2020 (which was postponed and then combined with the HNBA/VIA Annual Convention as a virtual event in September 2020), this session was conducted as a stand-alone webinar due to the timeliness of the topic and interest from the speakers and HNBA/VIA Leadership (the U.S. Supreme Court DACA ruling was announced on June 18, 2020)

Participated in organizing and planning calls with HNBA/VIA Plenary Committee Chair, speakers and representatives from corporate partner Apple (who provided the technical logistics for this event) and created PowerPoint slides used in webinar. The webinar was promoted in E-Noticias and a recap of the event provided in the July 2, 2020 issue.

Researched options to upgrade HNBA's job posting website into a robust career center. Worked with SmartJobBoard to set up the career center using their customizable software, creating a site with HNBA branding, colors and photos. Employers can create accounts and pay to post single job listings, or purchase a package of job listings over a six or twelve month period. Candidates can apply to jobs and create job alerts based on location, keywords or categories of interest.

Drafted HNBA Career Center Job Posting & Payment Options, providing instructions for employers on how to post jobs to the career center.

Created email messages to promote the career center to HNBA members and partners and featured the career center in E-Noticias. From May 15 , 2020 - August 21, 2020, the career center generated nearly $16,000 in revenue, with 98 total jobs posted over the three month period.

Used Movavi Video Editor and Windows Movie Maker to edit HNBA President and HNBA VIA Fund Chair Irene Oria's message that was included in the April 17, 2020 issue of E-Noticias.

Created graphics, advertisements, flyers and banners for events, programs, to disseminate information and create awareness for HNBA and VIA.
